Fractals are complex mathematical geometric phenomenon that exhibit recurring patterns at every dimensional scale. Fractal patterns occur in nature in the form of rivers, crystals, earthquakes, snowflakes, animal coloring patterns, ocean waves and countless other natural structures.

Music in Fractals was commissioned as part of The Texas New Music Ensemble's 2016 Student Composer Competition. I’d like to thank flutists Amanda Chavis and Meg Griffith for the time and energy they put into my work.
